Water habituation

For 3 to 4 year olds we offer water habituation, a fun activity. A skilful approach to water habituation in very small groups to let the children experience water, and the pool, and learn about the danger of water in a fun way. After some time the children jump in the water by themselves and climb out. Diploma A swimming lessons starts at the age of 4.

Swimming lessons small groups

Zwemschool de Drijver teachers how to swim ABC in small group and offers more individual attention. Small groups swimming lessons, 7 children per swimming instructor, at locations Cruqius and Haarlem-Zuid. It is possible to start from 4 years old.

Private swimming lessons

Zwemschool de Drijver offers private swimming lessons too. Groups are very small, 4 to 5 children only and they solemnly use the pool, and there is no distraction. Off course private lessons for 1 or 2 children is always possible, to get even more individual attention and care.

A-diploma in 5 months

In September the quick course A diploma in 5 months lessons will start again. For most children there is no greater fun than water fun! Splashing around and playing in the water, without fear of getting your face wet. At Zwemschool de Drijver children learn how to swim in a fun and playful way, also at the 5 months course.

Swim package ABC

Zwemschool de Drijver offers the concept of Swim Package ABC for a fixed prepaid price. It is convenient to know how much swimming lessons cost, and to know your child receives enough lesson hours to get a safe swimming diploma. We teach in small groups with our regular swimming teachers.

Accelerated final phase

Your child swims in deep water and has knowledge of techniques and swimming strokes, but is not ‘swim safe’ to swim for the finals of the A diploma. We offer some choices to make it possible.

Swimming lessons for adults

Learning how to swim does not stop with children. Adults can learn to swim, this is of vital importance. The lessons do not differ from children; adults have to become friends with the water too. We teach in small groups for Adults at our pool in Haarlem-Zuid, and offer private lessons at location Hoofddorp.

Swimming lessons for children with special needs

Learning to swim is important and fun for everyone, especially for children with a handicap. Zwemschool de Drijver offers after school times swimming lessons in very small groups in cooperation with Primary school de Parel. You just collect your child after the swimming lesson has ended. At Zwemschool de Drijver we look at possibilities, and we rather not say handicap. At our swim school certified swimming teachers for children with special needs offer swimming lessons for children with different handicaps or needs.
